Hyderabad: The special judge for CBI here today (Jan 23,2006) rejected the second bail petition of Monica Bedi, companion of extradited underworld don Abu Salem.

Bedi's bail application was filed by her Delhi-based lawyer Suchir Batra along with local advocate Pradep Kumar.

On January 18, after hearing the arguments on the petition, judge C V Subramanyam had posted the matter for today.

Bedi is currently under judicial remand till January 25 and lodged in Central Prison, Chencahalguda here.
