No meeting with Deve Gowda, says H D Kumaraswamy
Monday, January 23 2006 14:15 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Bangalore: Rebel Janata Dal-Secular (JDS) leader H D Kumaraswamy today (Jan 23, 2006) ruled out any meeting with his father former prime minister and JDS supremo H D Deve Gowda to defuse the crisis dogging the Congress-JDS coalition government.

Kumaraswamy told sources over telephone that he was currently in Hyderabad and would soon leave for Goa to join his party legislators camping there.

Denying that he was heading towards the city to hold parleys with his father, who has been mounting pressure on him to retract his decision to form a government with the BJP support, said, "My MLAs will not allow me to go back".

He said they would return to Bangalore on January 27, a day ahead of Chief Minister N Dharam Singh seeking the vote of confidence in the Assembly.
