Sonia accuses BJP of playing partisan politics
Monday, January 23 2006 12:41 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Hyderabad: Lashing out at the main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress President Sonia Gandhi today (Jan 23,2006) charged it with playing 'partisan' and 'divisive' politics.

"Unlike BJP we do not play partisan politics" when it came to addressing the sufferings of the people, she said addressing the plenary session of the party here.

Gandhi asked party workers to ensure that the programmes of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre should not be 'usurped' or 'subverted' by the non-Congress Governments in various states.

She asked partymen to organise the people to see that they got whatever they were entitled to.
