CBI court extends Monica Bedi's judicial remand

Hyderabad: A special CBI court today (Jan 25,2006) extended judicial remand of Monica Bedi, companion of extradited gangster Abu Salem, to January 30.

Special Judge C V Subramanyam, while extending the judicial remand, allowed split petition of CBI which would expedite the legal proceeding against Bedi.

Earlier, the second bail petition of Bedi filed by her Delhi-based lawyer Suchir Batra along with local advocate Pradeep Kumar was rejected on January 23.

Bedi is lodged in Chanchalguda jail here.
