Delhi police arrests two Bangladeshi terrorists

New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested two terrorists of Bangladeshi nationality from an East Delhi area and recovered a large quantity of explosives from them, which they were suspectedly planning to use to disrupt Republic Day celebrations tomorrow (Jan 26,2006).

Saidul and Shuabul, belonging to Harkat-ul Jehad-e-Islami, were arrested from Shastri Park area last evening, Joint Commissioner of Police (special cell) Karnal Singh told sources.

Atleast 1.4 kgs of RDX, four detonators and two hand grenades were recovered from the two terrorists, Singh said.

The two had come to Delhi about two months ago, the Joint Commissioner of Police said adding they were suspectedly planning to disrupt Republic Day celebrations.
