New Delhi: Amidst uncertainty over the continuance of Dharam Singh Government in Karnataka, a senior Janata Dal (JD) Secular (S) leader today (Jan 25,2006) met Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee and handed over a communication on behalf of JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda.

Sources said JD(S) spokesman Danish Ali met Mukherjee and handed over a "memorandum" which is understood to have listed the party's conditions for resolving the crisis facing the coalition in Karnataka.

It was not immediately known what the memorandum contained against the backdrop of Gowda's meeting with Congress President Sonia Gandhi here last night when the two leaders discussed the ongoing imbroglio in the state after H D Kumaraswamy has decided to go with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
