HC reserves order on petition in tapping probe
Wednesday, January 25 2006 15:47 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court today (Jan 25,2006) reserved its order on Delhi police's petition seeking to restrain the Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh police from conducting a parallel probe into the phone-tapping allegations of Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh.

Reserving the order after hearing the arguments of the two sides, Justice R C Jain said the court's interim order on January 20 restraining UP police from conducting a parallel investigation into the case would continue till a final order was passed.

However, the court granted some relief to UP police by allowing it to collect the necessary documents pertaining to the alleged interceptions from the nodal officer of Reliance Infocomm.
