Amidst heightened political crisis, Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) central emissaries A K Antony and M Venkaiah Naidu flew in here today (Jan 26,2006), a day before the Dharam Singh Government is slated to seek vote of confidence on the floor of the Assembly.
Antony, the former Kerala Chief Minister who is in charge of Congress affairs in Karnataka, held parleys with Singh at the latter's residence.
Expressing confidence about the BJP forming a Coalition Government with Janata Dal (JD) Secular (S) MLAs led by rebel leader H D Kumaraswamy, Naidu said, "We are moving forward to form the Government. Time is set for the demise of the Dharam Singh Government".
"We are sure that BJP-JDS will be able to defeat the motion of confidence, paving the way for the formation of BJP-JDS Coaliton Government", said Naidu, in charge of BJP
affairs in Karnataka.
