Lalu appreciates Buta Singh's decision to quit

Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president and Railway minister Lalu Prasad today welcomed Bihar governor Buta Singh's decision to resign saying "He upheld a healthy tradition".

"By sending his resignation (after Supreme Court judgement) Buta Singh upheld a healthy tradition," Prasad told reporters here.

The RJD supremo said everybody should respect the apex court, the highest seat of judiciary in the country.

Prasad's comment came shortly after Buta Singh's announcement that he has sent his resignation to the president.
