New Delhi: West Bengal Governor Gopal Gandhi was today (Jan 27,2006) asked to take additional charge of Bihar whose Governor Buta Singh resigned yesterday in the wake of the Supreme Court verdict indicting him for dissolution of the state assembly last year.

President A P J Abdul Kalam has accepted Singh's resignation, Rashtrapati Bhawan sources said here.
