Prez accepts Bihar Governor Buta Singh's resignation

New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam today (Jan 27,2006)accepted the resignation of Bihar Governor Buta Singh who had stepped down in the wake of the Supreme Court verdict indicting him for dissolution of the state assembly last year.

West Bengal Governor Gopal Gandhi has been asked to exercise the duty as Bihar Governor also in addition to his present responsibility, Rashtrapati Bhawan sources said.
