Jammu: Eight persons, including seven militants, were killed this morning when security forces tried to foil an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Salotri in Poonch district, official sources here said.

The dead included an army major involved in the operation to stop the ultras from crossing over across LoC, the sources said.
