Mumbai: 2 persons arrested for carrying explosives

Mumbai: Two persons were arrested and a cache of arms and explosives seized from them by the Anti- Terrorist Squad (ATS) of city police at the Kurla Railway Station here today (Jan 30,2006)morning.

The seizure includes two imported firearms and about one kg of high-grade explosives which the suspects had brought from a northern state by the Kushinagar Express train, ATS Chief K P Raghuvanshi said.

However, he refused to divulge the identity of the suspects, saying the interrogation was on and the information provided by them was being probed.
