Stamp paper scam: SC relaxes Sharma's bail form

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Jan 30,2006)relaxed the bail condition of fake stamp paper scam accused and former Mumbai Police Commissioner R S Sharma and allowed him to leave Pune where he is stay put.

A Bench of Chief Justice Y K Sabharwal, Justice S B Sinha and Justice B P Singh said Sharma can leave Pune without prior permission of the investigating agency but will have to inform it about his place of visit.

Sharma's counsel submitted that he needed to visit Mumbai where he has taken up a job after retirement.

Sharma was granted bail by the Apex Court on certain conditions, including that he could not leave Pune without prior permission of the investigating agency.
