B'lore firing: 1 LeT militant arrested for funding

Bangalore: A suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba militant, instrumental in organizing funds for terrorist activities here, has been arrested, police said today (Jan 31,2006).

Chand Pasha, taken into custody on Sunday, was found to be in-charge of financing the subversive activities for the Pakistan based-outfit's activities, a senior police official said.

Though his exact role in the December 28 terror attack at the Indian Institute of Science campus was yet to be ascertained, he was found to be involved with the other terrorist modules that have been busted by police, he said.

Seven Lashkar-e-Taiba militants have been arrested so far in the IISc attack case in which an IIT professor from New Delhi was killed and four others were injured.
