Mumbai: Bomb-scare in court, security tightened

Mumbai: Police have tightened security in and around the sessions court complex here after they received an anonymous call that a bomb has been placed in a court room.

Bomb Detection Squad, with sniffer dogs, has been pressed into service, which is searching the premises.

The TADA court, hearing Pradip Jain murder case, POTA court hearing 1993 bomb blast case and special CBI courts are housed in this complex.

Extradited gangster Abu Salem was to be produced in the TADA court in the complex today as his judicial remand in the Pradip Jain murder case ends.
