AAI employees' protest continues on second day

New Delhi: Hundreds of employees of Airports Authority of India at the Delhi airport continued their agitation against the 'privatisation' of Delhi and Mumbai airports for the second day today (Feb 2,2006) shouting slogans against Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel.

"The employees may consider closing down the entry points of the airport later today," Branch Secretary of the employees association here Pramod Kumar Sharma told sources.

However they are waiting for the green signal from their senior leaders, he said.

Keeping in view the stike by the workers, there was heavy security at the Delhi Airport, with CISF, CRPF and Delhi Police forces deployed in large numbers.

Two Indian Airlines flight from Banglore and Kolakata have been delayed today(Feb 2,2006) morning.
