AAI workers' strike continues, unions to meet today
Saturday, February 4 2006 11:18 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Contrary to expectations, the airport employees did not call off their strike tonight and their unions will meet today (Feb 4, 2006) morning to consider the issue.

After a meeting of the unions following their discussions with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh yesterday (Feb 3,2006), M K Ghosal, convenor of the All-India AAI Employers Joint Federation told reporters that they would meet tomorrow at 10 am to discuss various issues.

He said the meeting would consider the workers' demand on the airport modernisation issue and the appeal made by the Prime Minister to the employees to withdraw the strike.

"A decision will be taken keeping in mind both these points," he said.
