Aimed at boosting the private educational sector in the state, Rajashtan Government has decided to constitute a committee to examine various aspects like capital investment and fee structure.
The committee, headed by MP and Director of the Institute of Advanced Studies, Dr Kastoori Rangan, will examine these aspects and submit a report within three months.
This was decided at a high level meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, to review educational initiatives in the state.
Emphasising on the need to raise resources for quality education, Raje suggested public-private partnership as a way to achieve this aim.
If the youth of the state were to be educated according to international standards, there is an urgent need to bring about revolutionary changes in the educational sector, she said at the meeting.
A number of foreign companies were interested in investing in the state, Raje said adding that a change in the public mindset was needed to promote such initiatives.
Career fairs are being organised in educational institutions at different levels in order to make youth aware of the employment oppurtunities in tune with the the changing scenario, she said.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh Kamath, Chief Financial Officer of Progeon informed that 50,000 jobs could be provided in the next three years in the state's BPO sector.
He said that Progeon was willing to cooperate with the state government in holding career fairs in the state.
