LeT militant Noor Md. ultra arrested in Jammu

Jammu: A hard-core militant of Pakistan-based outfit Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) was arrested from Gujjar Nagar area of the city, police said today (Feb 07 2006).

The arrested militant identified as Noor Mohammad was arrested in a joint operation by police and army last evening, they said.

Mohammad, hailing from Chiri village of Anantnag district in Kashmir valley, was involved in several Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blasts during 2003 and 2004 in south Kashmir area, police said.

During his sustained interrogation, Mohammad admitted to having been deputed by Let to carry out recee of important locations as part of a sinister plan to attack the city.
