Ahead of assembly elections in five states this year, the BJP today appointed party General Secretary Arun Jaitley as in-charge of polls in Left-ruled West Bengal.
BJP chief Rajnath Singh named former Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy as in-charge of Tamil Nadu polls.
Party leader Pramod Mahajan will supervise elections inAssam like in the previous polls while former BJP chief M Venkaiah Naidu will be coordinator for polls in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Pondicherry.
La Ganeshan was made in-charge of polls in Kerala, a job carried out last time by former Union Minister Ananth Kumar.
Former Union Minister Thirunoukarssar was put in-charge of Pondicherry. The responsibility was with La Ganeshan last time.
