Ahead of their meeting with UPA leadership, the Left pary leaders met today (Feb 13,2006)to decide on the future course of action on various issues including Iran.
The UPA-Left Coordination Committee meeting, to be held later in the day, comes at a time when the Left has announced 'common understanding' on several matters that includes pacifying Samajwadi Party, which along with TDP has threatened
to move a no-confidence motion in the Budget session of Parliament beginning February 16.
The leaders, however, did not elaborate on the discussions held in the meeting.
UPA-Left Coordination Committee meeting assumes signifinace as the CPI(M) Polit Bureau leaders, after their meeting in Kolkata on Friday, issued a veiled threat to Congress that a new situation might emerge if government voted against Iran at the March six IAEA meeting.
