No working relationship with Indian naxals: Prachanda
Monday, February 13 2006 16:11 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Kathmandu: Asserting that Maoists in Nepal have no 'working relationship' with naxalites in India, rebel leader Prachanda today (Feb 13,2006) said they only share an ideological relationship.

"We do not have a working relationship with the Maoists (in India). Since they are communists and we are communists, we have an ideological relationship," the reclusive rebel leader Prachanda told the BBC.

"Movement and revolution is not about export and import. So what they want to do in India is their own business. And what we are going to do in Nepal is our own business," he said.

Prachanda said his outfit does not have a direct functional or working relationship with naxals in India though at an ideological level, we meet from time to time and we have our meetings, debates and discussions.
