No inquiry ordered in Jessica murder case: Police

New Delhi: Delhi Police today (Feb 27 2006) said no inquiry has been ordered into lapses in investigation in the Jessica Lall murder case.

"There is no inquiry of any sort," Delhi Police Commissioner K K Paul told sources when asked about reports in a section of the media suggesting that an inquiry had been ordered into the lapses in the murder probe which led to the acquittal of all the nine accused.

Asked whether a vigilance inquiry had been ordered, he said "it is not a vigilance matter."
