India and the US today (Mar 02 2006) welcomed the successful completion of discussions on New Delhi's plan to separate civil and military nuclear facilities and looked forward to the full implementation of the July 18 nuclear deal.
"This historic accomplishment will permit our countries to move forward towards our common objectives of full civil nuclear energy cooperation between India and the US and between India and the international community as a whole," a joint statement issued after talks between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and U S President George W Bush said.
"Both sides welcomed the successful completion of discussions on India's separation plan and looked forward to the full implementation of the commitment in the July 18, 2005 joint statement on nuclear cooperation," it said.
