Pak: Imran under house arrest on planned rally

Islamabad: Cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan was today(Mar 4,2006) put under house arrest and over two dozens of his associates taken into preventive custody ahead of their planned rally to protest against US President George W Bush's visit to Pakistan.

Khan was detained at his home here as he prepared to take out a march from Rawalpindi to Islamabad, which he had announced a couple of days back, according to leaders of his Tehrik-e-Insaf party.
