India approve signing MoU with China on agriculture

New Delhi: The government today (Mar 04 2006) gave green signal for signing a memorandum of understanding with China for cooperation in agriculture.

The MoU, which was cleared by the Union Cabinet, aims to promote cooperation in agricultural activities and also way of exchange of scientific delegations and experts as well as trainings between the two countries.

Information and Broadcasting Minister P R Dasmunsi said the MoU will be valid for a period of five years from the date of signing and would be renewable for another five years.

"The MoU will be signed during the forthcoming visit of Chinese Agriculture Minister Du Qinglin who visits India from March 26-30," Dasmunsi said.
