Complaint filed for Amar Singh's disqualification

New Delhi: Close on the heels of its recommendation to disqualify Jaya Bachchan, the Election Commission is understood to have received a complaint seeking similar action against Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh.

President A P J Abdul Kalam is understood to have forwarded a complaint to the EC which sought the Samajwadi Party leader's disqualification on the ground that he was holding an office of profit, EC sources said.

Singh is chairman of U P Development Council.
