CBI court extends Monica Bedi's remand till Mar 13

Hyderabad: Special court for CBI today(Mar 6,2006) extended till March 13 the judicial remand of Monica Bedi, former Bollywood star and companion of gangster Abu Salem.

The judge C V Subramanyam extended the remand of Bedi, who is lodged in Chanchalguda jail here in connection with a fake passport case.

She is facing charges of securing a passport in 2001 under a fictitious name from Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

On March 3 the High Court had rejected the bail petition of Bedi. Earlier the lower court had also twice rejected the bail.
