New Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner B B Tandon today (Mar 06 2006) declined to give details of the recommendations sent by the Election Commission to President A P J Abdul Kalam on a complaint against Rajya Sabha member Jaya Bachchan that sought her disqualification from the Upper House.

Refusing to comment on the details of the EC's opinion, Tandon on his arrival at the L G B Airport here briefly told sources that the recommendations had been sent to the president.

Last October, the EC had issued notice to the film actress and Rajya Sabha MP on a complaint that she was holding an office of profit and should be disqualified from Parliament.
