Uproar in RS on various issues adjourns twice Tuesday, March 7 2006 13:08 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Rajya Sabha was adjourned twice today(Mar 7,2006) as agitated TDP members demanded a CBI inquiry into alleged corruption in irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh while vociferous Congress members sought tabling of U C Baneerjee Commission's report on the Godhra train blaze.
As soon as the House met, TDP members demanded suspension of Question Hour to take up a discussion on alleged corruption in irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh.
Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat said the matter could be taken up after Prime Minister's statement on civil nuclear energy cooperation with the US after Question Hour.
The unrelenting TDP members rushed to the well demanding discussion on the matter besides a CBI probe.
BJP and Cong members also moved to the well on the Godhra issue.
Sensing the mood, Shekhawat adjourned the House till 1130 hrs.
When the House re-assembled, similar scenes prevailed and Deputy Chairman K Rehman Khan adjourned it till noon.
