'India, Australia to work together to fight terror'

Chennai: Expressing his sorrow and anguish over the terrorist strike at Varanasi, Australian Prime Minister John Howard today(Mar 8,2006) said the incident reminds the need for both India and his country to work together in the fight against the scourge of terrorism.

"I express my sorrow and sympathies on the loss of lives and grief to the families of those killed in the bomb blasts," he said at a function at the Indian Institute of Technology here.

"Modern threat of terrorism reminds us the need to work together to fight against terrorism," the visiting Australian Premier said.
