BSNL plan to provide 16 million mobile connections

Dharmapuri: BSNL plans to provide 16 million mobile connections throughout the country this year, a top BSNL official said today (Mar 08 2006).

A S Egaya, Principal General Manager, BSNL Coimbatore, said BSNL had many more schemes which would be introduced during the year. A scheme to provide service on the request of the customer would be introduced within three months.

He was speaking after presenting the Sanchar Seva Padak and Bharat Sanchar Sarathy awards to employees of bsnl of the Dharmapuri SSA.

He said 10,000 cell phone connections had been given in 'Dharmapuri SSA.' While Erode SSA bagged the best service award, Tirunelveli SSA bagged the best customer service award for the year 2004-2005.
