UDF to start seat sharing exercise in Thiruv'puram
Wednesday, March 8 2006 14:59 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Thiruvananthapuram: The Congress-led ruling UDF in Kerala would hold the first round of discussions on seat sharing with its partners for the coming assembly elections today (Mar 08 2006) and tomorrow, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said.

Asked about the UDF's approach to the Karunakaran-led Democratic Indira Congress, Chandy told sources after a cabinet meeting that all matters pertaining to the DIC-K had been discussed in the Congress plenary session which concluded yesterday at Kochi.

The Congress has said that all those who left the party could return to the fold if they are willing to accept the leadership of AICC president Sonia Gandhi.

UDF sources said talks would be held with minor partners like CMP, JSS, and RSP (B).
