The BSP legislators today (Mar 08 2006) submitted a memorandum to Governor T V Rajeswar demanding dismissal of the Mulayam Singh Yadav Government for the non-implementation of the recent high court order quashing the then Speaker's decision about the split and subsequent merger of the 40 member breakaway group into Samajwadi Party.
The BSP members criticised the Assembly Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey for his "partisan attitude" and his failure to recognise the 40 member breakaway group as part of the BSP legislature party.
Led by BSP legislature party leader Swami Prasad Maurya, the party MLAs marched from Vidhan Sabha to the Rajbhawan and asked the Governor to dismiss the state government for flouting the high court order, blasts in Varanasi and deterioting law and order situation in the state.
