Round-the-clock videography at Sankat Mochan temple

Varanasi: Tightening up security in the wake of Tuesday's (Mar 07 2006) blasts, videography of movement of devotees will be done for 24 hours at Sankat Mochan temple where a police post would also be set up.

Senior Superintendent of Police Navneet Sikera said that 24-hour-videography would be done on the movement of pilgrims and common people in the temple to prevent any future attacks.

He said a police post would be soon set up at the temple.

Sikera said vendors and other people around the temple would be made aware of the need for informing the police in case they detect any suspicious objects.
