Sarabjit's case should be taken up with Pak Govt
Saturday, March 11 2006 13:59 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: BJP today(Mar 11,2006) asked the Centre to take up the case of Sarabjit Singh, who is facing death sentence for allegedly carrying out bomb blasts in Pakistan, with the Musharraf regime.

Raising the matter in Lok Sabha, V K Malhotra, deputy leader of BJP, said "We want that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should talk to General Pervez Musharraf on this to save Sarabjit from the death sentence."

While noting that Pakistan Supreme Court has rejected Sarabjit's review petition, he said many people have stressed that the Indian prisoner was innocent.
