Varanasi blast: CRPF deployed at Ayodhya complex Saturday, March 11 2006 16:10 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Ayodhya:
The Central Reserve Police Force has been deployed to man the watchtowers and sensitive points in the disputed Ram Janambhoomi complex here in the wake of Tuesday's twin blasts in Varanasi.
Two companies of the CRPF arrived for deployment at all sensitive points of the acquired land complex including the watchtowers being managed till now by the PAC and construction of 10 bunkers at the complex was going on at full speed, police said today.
The PAC and state Home Guards had also been posted at 25 other main temples of the town, they said.
The PAC was earlier deployed only at important temples like Kanak Mahal, Nageshwar Nath and Hanuman Garhi.
The local 'dharamshalas' (rest houses), railway station and bus terminals were also being thoroughly checked and directives had been issued to maintain vigil on the movement
of vehicles, they said.
