Indian Union Muslim League, the second largest partner in the ruling Congress-led UDF in Kerala, today(Mar 12,2006) expressed confidence that the K Karunakaran-led DIC(K) would support the front in the coming assembly polls.
"We are quite hopeful that the DIC(K) will partner us (UDF) in the coming electoral battle," IUML general secretary P K Kunhalikutty said.
He was briefing reporters on IUML's Working Committee meeting held here earlier in the day.
The recent talks, initiated by the IUML on its own with the DIC(K), would continue, he said.
" IUML's candidates for the polls would be decided by a Parliamentary Board to be set up by party supremo PanakkadSyed Mohammedali Shihab Thangal," he said.
