BSP calls legislature party meeting in Lucknow
Wednesday, March 15 2006 14:45 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: BSP has called a meeting of its legislature party in Lucknow tomorrow(Mar 16,2006) to decide the political strategy in Uttar Pradesh.

"A meeting of the BSP legislature party has been convened in Lucknow tomorrow to decide the party's political strategy in the state," BSP chief Mayawati told reporters on the sidelines of a function on the 73rd birthday of party founder Kanshiram.

The meeting assumes significance in the wake of an Allahabad High Court order on 40-breakway BSP MLAs. BSP has filed a case in the Supreme Court to decide the fate of these MLAs while claiming that they were BSP members following the Allahabad High Court order.

Mayawati, former UP Chief Minister, also announced that the party's National Executive would meet in the evening to take stock of the political situation.

The state units of the party will present their reports, she said while claiming that BSP's graph has gone up considerably.

Extending best wishes to the people on Holi, she said henceforth this day will be celebrated as 'Bahujan Samaj Diwas'.
