CBI, Pakistan's FIA to hold talks from March 21

New Delhi: The CBI and Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will hold two-day talks here from March 21 to discuss various issues, including human trafficking, criminal syndicates and arms smuggling.

The techinical-level talks are being held in pursuance of understanding reached at Home Secretary-level talks in August last year.

CBI Director Vijay Shanker will lead the Indian delegation, while FIA Director General Tariq Pervez will head the Pakistani side, External Affairs Ministry said in a statment today (Mar 16 2006).

The talks will cover various issues concerning the two investigative agencies, including human trafficking, crime syndicates, arms smuggling, narcotics-related crimes and immigration-related issues.
