J&K police arrest Hizbul Mujahideen militant

Jammu: A Hizbul Mujahideen militant was today (Mar17, 2006) arrested by the police from a bus on the Jammu-Srinagar highway at Kud, 170 kms from here, official sources said.

Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Keshwan in Doda district, was nabbed while he was going to Jammu from Doda on the basis of a tip-off, they said.

The arrested ultra has been active for about six months and is being questioned by the police, they said.

Meanwhile, the police recovered seven rusted hand grenades, eight ak magazines and 229 rounds from Nalli Mohalla in Darhal area of Rajouri district last night.
