BJP mulling over Kerala candidates assembly polls

Kochi: BJP's Kerala unit leadership today (Mar 18 2006) held preliminary discussions on the probable candidates to be fielded by the party in the assembly elections in Kerala.

The meeting was held in the presence of BJP Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu.

Party's All India general secretary in charge of Kerala, L Ganesh, former Union Minister O Rajagopal, and state president P S Sreedharan Pillai were among those who participated.

The candidate list, discussed and prepared today, would be presented before the party's election committee meeting, scheduled to be held at Thiruvananthapuram on March 23.

It will be then placed before the party's central committee on March 27 for final approval. The list will be released on March 28, party sources said.
