Congress demands dismissal of Mulayam government
Tuesday, March 21 2006 16:42 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Congress members in Lok Sabha today (Mar 21 2006) accused the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh of failing to maintain law and order and demanded its dismissal.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Brajesh Singh said "jungle raj" prevailed in the Mulayam Singh Yadav ruled state, which has witnessed killings after killings of political leaders.

He said the situation had come to such a pass that police have also become victims of the bullets of criminals.

In the latest incident, a former MLA was done to death in Aligarh, he said adding it was high time a report should be called from the Governor and the state government sacked.

His party colleagues Rajesh Mishra, Manvendra Singh and others supported the demand.
