Decision on UDF, DIC(K) tie-up today: Ramesh
Wednesday, March 22 2006 14:31 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Thiruvananthapuram: A decision on a tie-up between Congress-led UDF and K Karunakaran's DIC (K) for the coming assembly elections in the state would be taken today (Mar22,2006), KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala said.

Talking to reporters at the airport here on his arrival from Delhi, he said CWC member in-charge of Kerala, Veerappa Moily, expected to arrive here later in the day, would hold talks on the issue with state party leaders.

The UDF is also meeting here today to finalise the seat sharing agreement among its partners. While the DIC-K had on Monday turned down the offer that it contest the elections on the 'hand' symbol of Congress and said it would contest the elections on its own, the Congress had expressed hope that a deal would still be made.
