Chennai: AIADMK Chief lashes out at Left parties
Friday, March 24 2006 15:53 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Chennai: Strongly hitting out at the left parties, AIADMK supremo Jayalalitha today (Mar 24, 2006) demanded resignation of MPs of these parties, who were 'holding offices of profit.'

In a statement, she said the left parties had always assumed for themselves the 'lofty position of lecturing to others about probity and integrity in public life.'

"Today they stand discredited. If they wish to redeem themselves, the members of the communist parties should resign as they were holding offices of profit. Clinging to the position of MPs by obfuscating the whole issue will completely erode any credibility that the left parties wish to retain," she said.
