Friday, March 24 2006 16:01 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi has said that party MPs should not get emotional over her resignation from the Lok Sabha and follow suit.

Gandhi stated this to a number of leaders, including MPs, who called on her to express solidarity, a day after she resigned from Lok Sabha and as Chairperson of National Advisory Council, Union Minister Vilas Muttemwar said after meeting the Congress President.

The Congress President's reference was apparently to Mumbai Regional Congress Committee President Gurudas Kamat, who submitted his resignation from the post as also as an MP to her yesterday (Mar 23 2006).
