Upgrading its cold storages at Mumbai and Delhi, the Himachal Pradesh Horticultural Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (HPMC) yesterday (Mar 24, 2006) decided to shift its land at Kundli on Delhi-Haryana border to state civil supplies corporation.
The board of directors of the corporation, which met here today, also decided to release four per cent additional dearness allowance to the company employees.
The move will entail an expenditure of Rs 17.80 lakh.
"There had been an increase of Rs 54.32 lakh in turnover of the corporation as compared to last year," Managing Director HPMC, C R B Lalit said adding that the momentum would be maintained for the next year.
The HPMC had invited expression of interest from various blue-chip companies like Reliance, Adani Group, ITC, Container Corporation etc for sharing the facilities created by the corporation in producing areas for procurement of apples, he said.
The corporation had already withdrawn its equity participation in the winery projects being promoted by Indage India and would only give logistic support to the company.
