New Delhi: BJP today(Mar 25,2006) said arms dealer Abhishek Verma's threat to file a defamation suit against L K Advani and other leaders was the 'worst type of cover up attempt' and demanded suspension of the Scorpene submarine deal.

It also asked the government to come clean on the issue of the Scorpene deal and 'war room leakage, demanding a probe against Verma and Naval chief Admiral Arun Prakash's close relative Ravi Shankaran in connection with the two cases.

"It is an irony that Verma is threatening to sue L K Advani, Jaswant Singh and George Fernandes for defamation. This is the worst type of cover up attempt," BJP spokesman Prakash Javedkar told reporters here.
