Chennai:
Promising that it would strive to enhance power production in Kerala, the AIADMK in its election manifesto for Kerala released today (Mar 28, 2006) said it would sell the surplus energy to other states, thereby increasing the revenue of the state government.
The party, which is contesting 54 seats in Kerala, said it would take steps against those who 'perceive education as a business.'
Further, students from class one to ten would be able to travel by bus for free and those of Plus one and two would receive a free bicycle, the manifesto said.
Efforts would be made to reopen closed industrial units of the state.
The Kerala High Court would also have a bench in Thiruvananthapuram, it promised.
The party would also provide "employment opportunities for the Non-Resident Keralites in the state," it said.
